Operations Manager – BLUvera Mobile Factories (Mortenson)
Mission: Mortenson’s BLUvera Group is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee plant operations across multiple sites in a fast‑growing assembly/manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include safety, quality, production, finance, people development, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and lead plant operations across multiple sites focusing on safety, quality and compliance.
- Direct, supervise and develop plant staff for efficient and safe operations.
- Establish, communicate, implement and enforce safety programs; conduct inspections and meetings; ensure proper equipment use and maintenance.
- Establish and monitor the plant budget, analyze costs and material usage, develop labor models and identify profitability improvements.
- Recommend purchase of capital equipment and plant expansion.
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, records and logs; handle P&L for operations.
- Foster high customer service levels through on‑time deliveries, responsiveness and quality assurance.
- Communicate with company resources to coordinate activities, develop solutions and reduce waste.
- Employ lean methodologies and tools to achieve business objectives.
- Serve as the go‑to resource for all construction products manufactured in the plant.
- Support the Plant Manager in developing business cases for new assembly or manufacturing opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred), business administration, or manufacturing management.
- Minimum five years of assembly/manufacturing leadership experience (safety, quality, people development, production, financial and inventory management).
- Resourceful, self‑starting work habits and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of EEO, affirmative action and inclusive behaviors.
- Track record of building diverse teams and leading continuous improvement and change management activities.
- Strong project management, organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP (Oracle) is preferred.
- Driver’s license required.
- Travel 75% of the time (Monday‑Friday).

Base pay range: $116,000 – $174,500. The actual range is higher for the following office locations:
Denver, CO and Chicago, IL (+5%);
Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (+10%);
Washington, D.C. (+12.5%). Eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
