As a casual Certified Nurse Midwife with Allina, you will step into a dynamic hospital-based environment, providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in labor and delivery settings. You'll collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, and support staff at our Abbott and United Mother Baby Centers.

The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, in partnership with Children's Minnesota, offers a state-of-the-art environment for labor, delivery, and postpartum care. • CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth, and VBAC/TOLAC services.
• Midwifery collaborative support by in‑house OB and maternal fetal medicine groups.
• Attend approximately 40‑50 births per month with three affiliated clinics.
• Offer a natural birth experience emphasizing nontraditional care in the hospital.
• Follow standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse‑Midwives and Minnesota statute.

• Bachelor's degree – Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing required
• Master's degree or doctoral in nursing or related field preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
• BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support required within 180 days
• AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required

Medium Work:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.

$125,000 to $140,000 per year (full‑time FTE).
