Overview
Regions Hospital is seeking a Vascular Access Nurse to perform PICC placement and related procedures. The role supports patient care in a Level I Trauma Center and emphasizes evidence-based nursing practice.
Responsibilities- Insert peripherally inserted central lines (PICC) and midlines under physician orders.
- Manage PICC care, including removal, declotting, dressing application, and troubleshooting.
- Assess patients for PICC indication and participate in performance improvement activities related to PICC practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the nursing team and patient safety.
Night shift, 8‑hour rotations, every other weekend.
Required Qualifications- Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in nursing.
- Minimum two years of direct patient care in a med/surg acute‑care setting.
- Minimum two years of experience in infusion delivery.
- Registered nurse licensed in the State of Minnesota.
- CPR (Professional Rescuer) or BLS for health‑care providers certification.
- Certified Infusion RN (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA‑BC).
