Role Description
The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Moonlighter plays a key role in supporting Behavioral Health services at Regions Hospital. In this on‑call position, you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate and treat psychiatric patients within our inpatient mental health unit and consult liaison service.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including intake evaluations and physical exams.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists.
- Provide medication management and ongoing patient follow‑up.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Make appropriate referrals and support patients throughout their hospitalization.
You will work closely with our inpatient psychiatry program, delivering high quality behavioral health care within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Schedule- On Call / Moonlighter
- Physician Assistant degree (MPAS) or Nurse Practitioner degree (DNP or MSN)
Recent graduates of accredited PA or NP programs are welcome to apply. NP applicants must have completed a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Ability to perform basic psychiatric and medical assessments, including physical exams during mental health admissions.
- Ability to assess and manage acute and chronic medical concerns and psychiatric emergencies.
Physician Assistant Candidates:
- Current NCCPA certification
- Active PA license in Minnesota
Nurse Practitioner Candidates:
- Current certification through AANP or ANCC
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Minnesota
