Physician Assistant - Geriatrics

Job Overview

Fairview Geriatric Services seeks a 1.0 FTE experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide care of our geriatric patients in long term care, transitional care, and assisted living facilities in the Twin Cities Metro
. The Nurse Practitioner, in collaboration with physicians and part of an interdisciplinary team, engages in independent decision making about health care needs of their own patient panel.

• Engages in independent decision making about health care needs of their own patient panel.
• Meets the unique and growing needs of complex, frail, and special‑needs patients in care communities.
• Engages in independent decision making and provides health care services to individuals.
• Openings: 1.0 FTE.
• Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program. BC/BE through the NCCPA.
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
• Prefer at least 3+ years of provider experience in Geriatric Services field.

The posted pay range is for a 1.0 FTE. The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Positions with the same min/max are flat rate jobs based on a 1.0 FTE schedule.

Compensation plans based on production can allow for higher pay than the range posted.
