Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic surgical skills for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment requiring an active or pending MN RN license.

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in specialties such as vascular, gynecology, plastics, general OR, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and neurology preferred
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth, SSN, and RTO information required for consideration

• Operating Room unit in an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Day shift (5x8, 6:45a-2:45p) or Evening shift (5x8, 2:45p-11:15p) with multiple possible start times
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
  
  Open to accommodating block scheduling
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Responsibilities include scrubbing and assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana Table preferred
• Local candidates accepted only if within 100 miles of the facility; all other candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
