PACU / Pre-Op / Phase 2 RN, the key requirements are:

• RN experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, specifically relevant PACU/perioperative/perianesthesia experience. First-time travelers are not accepted; travel nursing experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. NIHSS is also listed in the requirements.
• License: Minnesota RN license preferred/in hand. If not currently licensed, the traveler must apply for the MN license through the agency after accepting an offer.
• Charting: Epic/Excellian experience is required.
• Clinical skills: Strong PACU/perianesthesia skills, including Phase I and Phase II recovery, pre-op assessment/education, procedural sedation, airway management, ventilated patients, IVs, arterial/central lines, pain management, dysrhythmia management, emergency medications, and post-operative care.
• Patient population: Must be comfortable caring for adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Work location/floating: May work in either the main hospital or Day Surgery Center perianesthesia departments and must be willing to float within scope as needed.
• Radius: No candidates living within 100 miles of the facility.
• Weekend/on-call: No on-call requirement; weekends are as needed.
• RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days of requested time off.
• References: At least 1 supervisor reference is required at submission.
• Education/compliance: DOB, SSN, certifications, Nursys, and RTO are required for submission. Background checks/fingerprinting must be completed by the compliance deadline.
• Facility: Teaching hospital, Level III trauma, 317 beds;
  Epic/Excellian charting.

The strongest candidate should have 3+ years of PACU/perianesthesia experience, prior travel nursing experience, Epic/Excellian experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS (plus NIHSS listed), and be able to work both pre-op and Phase I/II recovery. First-time travelers and candidates within the 100-mile radius are not eligible.
