American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic skills and at least 1 year of OR experience for a teaching hospital assignment.

• Operating Room unit within an acute care teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
• Primary focus on orthopedic cases with general surgery as a secondary skill area
• 5x8-hour day and evening shifts with start times at 0645, 0900, 1100, and 1445
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call required as needed
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals to meet facility needs
• Open to accommodating a block schedule
• Uses Epic (Excellian) for charting

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required with strong orthopedic skills
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience with orthopedic procedures required, including arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, spinal fusion, and total joint replacement
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible unless applying for radiology positions
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift as a perm employee (staff or per diem)
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days during the assignment
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted
