American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a teaching hospital's 37-bed surgical unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and an active or pending MN RN license.

• 37-bed surgical unit that also accepts overflow medicine patients
• Patient ratios of 4 patients per RN from  and 5-6 patients per RN from
• Day shift (4x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) or night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) available
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system

• Active or pending MN RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:4-6 required
• Preferred skills include bariatric surgery, bowel obstruction, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, PICC line management, CBI, renal failure, PCA, wound care/wound vac, and surgical drain management
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Date of birth, SSN, and RTO details required for consideration

• Acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation
• Total of 317 staffed beds
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem)
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• Pre-start modules required prior to starting assignment
