The Opportunity

This position works out of our St Paul, MN location for our Electrophysiology medical device business. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

What You’ll Work On
  • Complete investigations for hardware and software customer complaints.
  • Document investigation results in compliance with complaint handling procedures.
  • Assess risk using risk management documentation for both reported and confirmed product events.
  • Analyze complaint data for statistical trends and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and investigative protocols to identify root causes.
  • Work with product development, quality engineering, software engineering, and other departments.
  • Support fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis during system integration and testing.
  • Apply modern software/hardware design and development tools and techniques.
  • Operate under the guidance of senior engineers or managers.
  • Accountable for meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance.
  • Plan and schedule own work, and coordinate with other software engineers.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Linux environments.
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Python or other object-oriented languages.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance.
  • Experience in medical device or other regulated industries.

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 — $. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
