The position is responsible for designing, developing, and executing a sales strategy for increasing sales and profits through small, medium and large accounts within a territory. This sales manager must reside in Minnesota, North Dakota or South Dakota.
Key Responsibilities- Communicates the company value proposition through engaging presentations and conversational meetings versus leading with hardware while developing/facilitating customer relationships and creates opportunities with territory accounts.
- Provides timely, accurate and complete sales reports and forecasts and updates Sales opportunities in the Salesforce system for forecasting.
- Engages and leverages effective relationships with internal resources and industry partners to create opportunities and further drive solution‑based sales.
- Manages programs from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer and company resources on technical and business issues.
- This position requires up to 75% travel.
Education & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related discipline preferred, but not required.
- Seasoned sales professional with an understanding of multiple products and services and their interoperability.
- Has a solid understanding of business, financials, markets, and the needs of the customer.
- Understands moderately complex solutions and how to identify the value proposition for each.
- Ability to articulate product portfolios and their connectivity for a solution.
- Resource Manager – Recognizes unspoken organizational constraints, uses corporate culture and language that will be best heard, builds rapport, resolves issues, creates solutions, builds consensus, consults resources.
- Strategic Thinking – Understands how the value of hardware, services, integration, software, and go‑to‑market fit into the overall direction and provides a value proposition to customers.
- Execute with Passion – Works independently, persisting in pursuing goals, sees new business opportunities, evaluates objectives to align with company and customer strategies.
