Join our Minneapolis-based environmental team and help shape transportation, rail, utility, energy, and community development projects across Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career environmental professional who is passionate about natural resources, enjoys a mix of field and office work, and wants to build expertise in environmental permitting and compliance.

In this role, you'll work alongside experienced environmental scientists, engineers, and planners to support projects from early planning through construction. You'll gain hands-on experience conducting wetland delineations and natural resource assessments, preparing environmental permit applications, and coordinating with regulatory agencies to help keep projects moving forward responsibly and sustainably.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct wetland delineations, field investigations, and natural resource assessments, and prepare the associated technical reports and documentation.
  • Support environmental permitting efforts by preparing permit applications, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and helping project teams navigate environmental requirements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate project impacts, develop mitigation strategies, and support environmental compliance during project implementation.
  • Assist with project delivery activities, including technical writing, client and agency coordination, proposal support, and project planning.

Our Ideal candidate has had internship experience or academic exposure to wetlands, natural resources, environmental permitting, or related environmental sciences and is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and excited to develop your technical and professional skills through a variety of projects. To be successful in this position you must have excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, an interest in environmental regulations and permitting processes, and a willingness to work in the field under varying site and weather conditions.

Pave the way for your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed – today and into tomorrow.

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Previous internship experience or collegiate project work conducting wetland delineations
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting processes
  • Strong technical writing skills and familiarity with writing formal reports
  • Valid state's driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork throughout Minnesota and the greater Midwest.
  • Submission of technical writing sample for review

Physical Requirements
