ACTS Airport Services has immediate full‑time openings for Aviation Security Officers at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. These seasonal construction positions end in November 2027. Aviation Security Officers are integral to securing our nation's air‑transportation network. ACTS officers commit to our mission: "to be the most trusted aviation security provider in the United States" and are responsible for the safety and security of the airports they protect.
Current Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour
Essential Functions- Control access to restricted areas of the airport, only allowing authorized individuals.
- Screen and log persons and/or vehicles accessing restricted areas.
- Control access and conduct vehicle inspections at perimeter access points to secured areas.
- Conduct vehicle inspections at entries into non‑secure areas deemed vulnerable.
- Screen employees, vendors, visitors, and belongings using x‑ray machines, hand wands, and/or magnetometers.
- Access control at employee checkpoints.
- Monitor and secure exit lanes from sterile area to public area of the airport.
- Provide escorts and security for construction of runways, taxiways, and terminals/concourses.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Provide passenger assistance.
- Prepare incident/occurrence reports for any customer complaints, safety/security or operational incidents.
- Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
- Handle security or emergency situations appropriately.
- Participate in security/safety training programs to advance career opportunities.
- Adhere to all applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements.
- Familiarize with airport‑specific operations performance manual and post orders.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of verifiable contract security, military or law‑enforcement experience.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Proof of ability to work in the United States.
- Pass a TSA Security Threat Assessment.
- Pass a TSA Criminal History Record Check.
- Maintain state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements.
- Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English and clear communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.

- Handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
- Physical capability to stand or walk all shift; lift a 25‑lb fire extinguisher.
