Lead Diesel Mechanic – Clean Harbors, Eagan, MN

Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500*

Clean Harbors is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our safety‑conscious team. The Lead Diesel Mechanic will oversee daily shop operations, supervise maintenance work, ensure fleet DOT compliance, and maintain service and parts records.

• Ensure Health & Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and corrective actions, including off‑site road repairs/service calls.
• Complete daily checklists and ensure units meet daily maintenance duties.
• Submit all required paperwork for PM schedules.
• Conduct safety checks & annual vehicle inspections per provincial & federal laws.
• Ensure equipment is parked in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all applicable SOPs.
• Perform other assignments as directed by management.
• Understand Clean Compliance Standards.

• 5–7 years of diesel engine experience.
• 1+ year DOT inspection experience.
• Proficiency in electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, and engines.
• Experience with heavy‑duty forklift, roll‑off truck, forklift, pick‑up truck, box truck, tractor, and tanker maintenance.
• Proficiency in tooling and diagnostic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Pass background, drug, and physical test upon hire.
