Location:

Saint Paul, MN Pay Rate: $24.00 – $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

1st

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.

-2:30 p.m. 2nd

Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 p.m.

-11:00 p.m. 3rd

Shift: Monday-Friday, 10:00 p.m.

-6:30 a.m. Some overtime or occasional off-shift support may be required based on production and facility needs.

Looking for Maintenance Technician jobs in Saint Paul where your technical skills keep equipment operating at its best? This opportunity allows you to troubleshoot problems, perform repairs, and help maintain the systems that keep production moving safely and efficiently. This position responds to production-line issues, diagnoses equipment failures, completes repairs, performs preventive maintenance, and supports equipment-improvement projects. The Maintenance Technician must be comfortable working semi-independently in an industrial plating environment.

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, sensors, piping, controls, and other production equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues affecting plating lines and facility equipment
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations safely and efficiently
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
  • Inspect equipment and identify developing problems before they cause downtime or safety concerns
  • Complete basic fabrication, assembly, installation, and equipment modifications
  • Assist with ventilation, exhaust, compressed air, water, wastewater, heating, and other facility systems
  • Document repairs, parts used, equipment conditions, and recommended follow-up
  • Support equipment installations, facility projects, and continuous-improvement activities
  • Follow all safety, environmental, lockout/tagout, PPE, and company procedures

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, or equipment documentation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices
  • Previous industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, valves, sensors, motors, piping, and mechanical equipment
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, schematics, and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment
  • Strong mechanical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and communicate repair status
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to take ownership of assigned work
  • Ability to work independently and recognize when assistance or escalation is needed
  • Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, perform repairs, and inspect equipment
  • Safely lift and move tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to pounds
  • Work in an industrial environment that may be warm, humid, wet, noisy, or exposed to chemical odors
  • Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety footwear, and chemical-resistant equipment when necessary
  • Safely use ladders and powered industrial equipment when properly trained and authorized
