- Work Shift:
8:00am - 4:30pm (Day Shift) - Travel: 15% for meetings
- Review, evaluate, and write licensing actions recommended by county licensing agencies.
- Provide technical assistance and training to county agency licensors.
- Assist in conducting ongoing licensing reviews (Rule 13) for county and private agencies.
- Evaluate and approve routine licensing variances, extensions, new applications, and moratorium exceptions.
- Two (2) years of high-level work experience in licensing functions related to adult foster care, community residential settings, child foster residence settings, or family adult day services.
- Utilizing qualitative and quantitative analysis to evaluate findings and support challenges to Department of Human Services licensing actions.
- Broad knowledge of state and federal rules, regulations, and laws governing licensed facilities and programs.
- Understanding of current methods used in providing services to children in licensed programs.
- Basic investigative methodology and administrative, civil, and criminal law affecting the licensing function.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, social work, or related field (or one year of experience).
- Experience working effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Proficient in computers and data entry into databases.
- Strong human relations and communication skills.
- Minnesota Department of Human Services criminal background check for finalists.
- Employee reference checks for finalists.
