Transportation Logistics Specialist (Contract – 3–6 Months, Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Transportation Logistics Specialist to support truck transportation planning, carrier coordination, and rate management. This role helps ensure efficient, cost‑effective movement of products while maintaining strong carrier relationships and accurate freight data.

• Support transportation strategy through rate negotiations, capacity planning, and shipment execution.
• Negotiate rates and contract terms with carriers; identify cost‑saving opportunities (including backhauls).
• Analyze current transportation processes to identify improvements.
• Manage carrier relationships and monitor performance/KPIs.
• Update TMS, documents, and spreadsheets with current rates, contracts, customer info, and volume data.
• Resolve freight invoice discrepancies and ensure accurate payments.
• Provide market insights and communicate shipping requirements to internal teams and carriers.
• Work independently under general supervision and handle additional duties as assigned.

• Experience in transportation logistics, freight, or carrier management.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and Excel.
• Willingness to work onsite three days per week and support occasional overtime.
