NOTE:
The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.
The Maintenance Manager oversees the day‑to‑day functions of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and administrative staff. Maintenance facilities normally operate on a three‑shift basis to ensure equipment is maintained, inspected and meets DOT, client or company standards. This position is based in St. Paul, MN.

- Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians
- Approve priority of maintenance and repairs based on availability of materials and parts and requirements of scheduled operations
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors
- Ensure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
- Manage inventory
- Implement safety policies and procedures per corporate requirements
- Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget
- Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods
- Other duties as required
Travel requirement outside of immediate area.
Qualifications- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and air‑brake endorsements preferred
- 7+ years of experience in repair and maintenance of heavy‑duty automotive and transit equipment
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Broad understanding of mechanical systems related to heavy‑duty transportation vehicles
- Familiarity with laws & regulations associated with safe operation of maintenance facilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outdoors, often alone and in remote locations
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk long distances on uneven or slippery surfaces
- Push and pull objects up to 25 lb; lift material weighing up to 50 lb with or without assistance; bend, kneel or crouch to access equipment at ground level
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise
