The Recreational Attendant is responsible for creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all recreational areas, including the pool deck, pool bathrooms, kayaks, and guest beach transportation. This role ensures guests enjoy a seamless, high‑quality experience while utilizing hotel amenities.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck at all times.
  • Wipe down pool chairs and loungers throughout the day.
  • Open and close pool umbrellas daily.
  • Ensure proper levels of clean towels and remove used towels promptly.
  • Monitor guest needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Enforce pool rules for safety and guest satisfaction.
  • Clean and restock pool bathroom facilities regularly.
  • Perform frequent walkthroughs for cleanliness and odor control.
  • Report maintenance issues immediately.
  • Set up, organize, and maintain kayaks and related equipment daily.
  • Assist guests with kayak usage and safety procedures.
  • Inspect equipment for safety and track inventory.
  • Maintain and restock guest water station.
  • Keep amenity areas organized and visually appealing.
  • Provide safe and friendly golf cart rides to and from the beach.
  • Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the golf cart.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and driving rules.
  • Keep accurate logs if required.
  • Prepare and deliver special amenities for guests based on schedules or VIP status.
  • Communicate with Front Desk and F&B regarding guest preferences.
  • Track inventory and ensure timely delivery.
  • Report guest concerns, safety issues, or maintenance promptly.
  • Prepare and organize guest activation and events.
  • Assist with special projects or events as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
  • Ensure all recreational areas reflect The Hotel Zamora’s service standards.
Minimum Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in a public contact position.
  • Must possess a valid US driver’s license and meet requirements for driving history record obtained through an initial and periodic Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Customer service experience in hospitality strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and cleanly.
  • Flexible schedule (may include late shifts, weekends, holidays).

Work Environment
  • This job operates in a hotel environment involving heavy interaction with guests.
  • Frequent exposure to the outdoors.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to day.
  • Must be able to exert well‑paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Additional Screening Requirements
  • Current and valid driver’s license is required. Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) and have a safe driving record.
