We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payables operations for a Contract position based in Saint Peters, Missouri. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and confident handling invoice review, payment preparation, and accurate financial recordkeeping. The selected candidate will help maintain efficient payment workflows while ensuring vendor invoices are processed correctly and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper approval before entering them into the system.
• Assign the correct accounting codes to vendor invoices to support accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Process accounts payable transactions in a timely manner to keep payment activity current and well documented.
• Prepare and coordinate check runs according to established payment schedules and internal controls.
• Reconcile invoice details with supporting documentation and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal contacts.
• Maintain organized payable records and ensure documentation is available for audit and reporting needs.
• Communicate with vendors and team members regarding payment status, missing information, and invoice questions.
