Role Highlights

• PRN, self-scheduled night shift role(minimum24 hours every 6 weeks)
• Includes12 weekend hoursandholiday rotation
• Night shift schedule:6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Same-day assignment model– you know when you work and gain experience acrossED, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry unitsat Progress West Hospital and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital

Key Requirements

• Currently enrolled in anaccredited nursing program
• Completion ofnursing fundamentals with clinical component required
• Willingness to travel betweenProgress West Hospital and Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital
• Ability to adapt quickly and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a variety of unit settings
• Initial 3-week full-time training commitmentrequired to support your success in the role before transitioning to the regular schedule.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

At Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, every decision is made in the best interest of patients and families. The Nursing Resource team takes exceptional care of people by coordinating patient placement and bed management in collaboration with departments, admitting, and physicians.

Role Purpose

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.
