We are hiring a full-time Senior Tax Accountant to manage a wide range of hands-on tax responsibilities for individuals and small businesses. This role focuses on preparing and filing 1040, 1065, and 1120 tax returns, conducting tax planning, calculating estimated tax payments, and resolving IRS and state tax notices on behalf of clients. You will serve as a primary tax resource throughout the year, providing timely, clear, and responsive communication to clients.
Responsibilities- Prepare and file individual (1040), partnership (1065), and corporate (1120) tax returns
- Conduct tax planning, including projections and quarterly estimated tax calculations
- Resolve IRS and state tax notices, while supporting clients through tax authority interactions
- Manage client workloads and deadlines with minimal supervision
- Communicate with clients throughout the year for tax needs, estimates, planning conversations, and follow-up questions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Active CPA or EA license
- Strong skills in Tax Planning, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation
- Experience with Quick Books, Lacerte, and/or CCH Axcess (preferred)
- Exposure to international tax matters, including Forms 2555 and 1116,FATCA, and other foreign income reporting requirements (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional client-facing demeanor
- Organized, process-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Ability to independently manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple clients
