Accounting Administrator

Local candidates only- hybrid role onsite 3 days per week - St. Petersburg, FL 33716

Schedule: M‑F 40 hours/week: 7‑8AM – 4‑5PM

Laptop and equipment provided

Contract: 6 months – Opportunity for conversion based on attendance, performance, and availability of an FTE role

Rate: $24/hour

Job Summary: This person will be responsible for providing administrative / basic accounting related support to the Investment Operations team.

Duties
  • Assist with data entry as it relates to reconciling accounts
  • Maintain / update reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Assists in preparing, reviewing, processing and maintaining accounting documents, records and files.
  • Assists in coding and posting transactions to proper accounts in an automated accounting system.
  • Assists in researching transaction discrepancies.
  • Assists in gathering and compiling data for assigned functions.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills:

Must Haves - Hard Skills
  • The manager is looking for entry level candidates! Seeking candidates that have less than 3-4 years of work experience; ideally someone who recently graduated college and is looking to start their career. He is also open to candidates who do not have a degree, but may have some schooling and a year or two working in an office. He is looking for candidates who want to get their foot in the door within the financial services industry.
  • Basic to intermediate Excel skills - ability to perform data entry into an Excel spreadsheet
  • Fluent user with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of, and able to apply, mathematical concepts; comfortable with "crunching numbers"
Must Haves - Soft Skills
