Role OverviewSales Development / Inside Sales Director – lead and scale a high‑performing inside sales team, reporting to the VP of Inside Sales.
What You’ll Do- Develop and manage sales targets and KPIs to achieve personal and team goals.
- Lead lead generation and inside sales strategy and operations.
- Recruit, train, lead, inspire, and motivate a high‑performing team.
- Create messaging and scripts to increase lead conversion rates.
- Ensure the team has the knowledge, skills, and development plans to overachieve their quotas.
- Build and maintain incentive programs for the SDR team.
- Accurately record and maintain sales activities in the tech stack for forecasting.
- Build a customer‑centric, collaborative team with strong internal relationships.
- Develop training and processes to support scale and repeatable performance.
- Resolve escalations to keep the team focused on sales.
- Plan and execute marketing events and programs with Marketing and external partners.
- Use customer and employee feedback to refine services and identify new solutions.
- 5+ years of B2B sales management experience with a proven record of meeting quota.
- 5+ years’ experience in the media sales space (preferred). Knowledge of media industry.
- Experience building and leading a world‑class business development and inside sales team.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and organization skills.
- Strong sense of self and team accountability; ability to build a results‑driving culture.
- Proficiency in sales tech stack (SFDC, Chorus, Groove, AI capabilities).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- High level of integrity, judgment, and situational awareness.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Respect for others and a strong belief in reciprocity.
- In‑depth knowledge of media sales processes.
- Ability to prospect and build rapport with customers quickly.
- Comfort working with senior executives and using influencing skills.
- Awareness of emerging market trends to expand relationships.
- Confidence to solve complex problems with analysis and judgment.
- Accountability and desire to guide new team members.
- Experience in business development with new and existing customers.
