Residential Architect Designer 10+ years experience

This position will primarily entail planning, coordinating design and leading complex custom residential designs for private clients. Candidates should exhibit outstanding graphical, technical, analytical, and presentation skills at all phases of design and documentation. Projects will vary in size, style and complexity and candidates must exhibit knowledge and competency in their ability to conceptualize and detail a wide variety of periods and styles as well as a love for detailed and creative design of both exterior and interior architectural elements.

Our firm is a collaborative, team based environment and we both produce and manage all forms of deliverables.

• Design and plan custom residential projects of varying sizes and complexities
• Manage multiple aspects of client, project coordination, and general contractors including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants
• Resolve complex technical and design issues
• Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
• Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project

• Advanced degree in Architecture or Design preferred, with a rigorous design education. Prefer students from Notre Dam, Miami Univ and Catholic University, or course work with the Institute of Classical Architect
• 8+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale
• Proficiency in Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, 3ds Max and photoshop
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding graphic presentation skills
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents
• Proven ability to lead and direct design teams and projects
• Conceptual designer and thinker
• A sense of humor and zest for life is an additional plus.
