Part‑Time Youth Enrichment Program Assistant
Family Resources Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual to work on‑site in St. Petersburg, FL, providing dynamic support for our Youth Enrichment Program. This part‑time position offers competitive pay of $19.76 per hour and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with youth participants in enriching academic and personal activities throughout the year, especially in after‑school and summer Community Out of School Time (COST) programs.
- Supervise participants, teachers, artists, overlay providers, and volunteers to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all youth.
- Communicate regularly with the Site Supervisor and Program Director to maintain high‑quality service for clients and families.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to plan and deliver program activities.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six semester hours of college credits in early childhood or elementary education.
- Strong understanding of safety precautions and compliance with childcare licensing standards.
- Previous experience working with at‑risk youth in educational settings.
- Knowledge of positive youth development, COST programming, and childcare licensing standards.
- CPR/First‑Aid certification and ability to remain calm in emergencies.
- Ability to work semi‑independently and take initiative.
- Excellent judgment, organizational skills, and an optimistic attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to establish relationships with diverse backgrounds.
- Background compliant with the Department of Juvenile Justice and the Department of Children and Families.
- Valid Florida driver’s license, clear driving record, and current automobile insurance.
- Capable of completing 40 DCF clock hours in childcare training within 90 days of employment.
- Pinellas County Licensing Board (PCLB) Staff Member in Charge (SMIC) credentials preferred.
