About the Position
Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist role at Power Design, Inc.
As an essential member of our Engineering and Virtual Design and Construction team, you will review electrical system designs of large‑scale projects for code compliance and constructability issues.
Responsibilities- Review drawings to ensure quality and constructability with guidance from team members.
- Coordinate optimal design solutions for electrical systems applying industry knowledge and quality standards.
- Apply code knowledge to power and lighting systems, including potential telecom and fire alarm review.
- Perform advanced reviews such as photometric studies, short circuit analysis and voltage drop calculations (training provided).
- Team player thriving in a rapidly changing environment with electrical design or field experience.
- Quick learner interested in design fundamentals;
Revit experience a plus. - Electrical Journeyman License required. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering a plus.
- Professional Engineer License preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical codes (IBC, IECC, NEC, ASHRAE) and system calculations; experience with visual photometric software preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, able to read and interpret blueprints, submittals and specifications.
