Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Electrical Engineer with a strong practical background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the amusement/theme park industry and in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering related to amusement ride machinery. This position is based in St. Petersburg.

• Apply mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to amusement ride machinery.
• Utilize knowledge of steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, and conveyance systems.
• Incorporate understanding of control systems, power distribution, electrical systems, motors, motor control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and human factors.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand the technical complexities of theme park rides.
• Manage projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines and adjusting to changing priorities.
• Collaborate as a motivated team player in a fast-paced environment.

• 3-5 years of experience in the amusement/theme park industry.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SOLIDWORKS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

• Knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
• Fluency in additional language(s) is a plus.
• Strong technical background in the amusement industry.
• Excellent typing and grammar skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $85,000.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
