Junior Mechanical Engineer – HVAC / Plumbing
An established and growing MEP consulting engineering firm in the local area is seeking to add a Junior Mechanical Engineer with approximately 6 months to 3 years of MEP environment experience (HVAC and/or Plumbing) to join its engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced Professional Engineers designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, healthcare, institutional, laboratory projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with HVAC and/or plumbing system design and engineering.
- Develop layouts and construction documents using Revit & AutoCAD.
- Assist with HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork, and piping design.
- Support BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and electrical disciplines.
- Participate in field surveys and construction site visits.
- Support projects from design through construction documents.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- 6 months–3 years of relevant MEP/building systems experience.
- Experience with HVAC and/or plumbing design.
- Revit experience strongly preferred.
- FE/EIT or progress toward EIT is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Junior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Designer, HVAC Designer, Plumbing Designer, MEP Designer, or Building Systems Designer.
