About the RoleYou will be an integral part of the client’s finance department, taking ownership of processing accounts payable transactions with autonomy and precision. This role involves critical 3‑way matching, coordinating activities to ensure timely payments, and acting as a champion for compliance with company policies. You’ll leverage your customer service and problem‑solving skills to resolve inquiries and contribute to process improvements, making a direct impact on financial operations and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Process 75–100 accounts payable transactions daily through 3‑way matching for North American operations.
- Coordinate and execute assigned activities within the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payment processing using various financial platforms.
- Ensure proper and consistent compliance with approved company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with buyers, vendors, and business partners to efficiently resolve parked and blocked invoices.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries, including vendor statement reconciliation and procurement issues.
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to improve the shared services environment and overall business processes.
- Participate in special projects that enhance the shared services working environment and contribute to overarching business goals.
- Work collaboratively within the team, assisting colleagues as needed to maintain high performance.
- 2–4 years of accounts payable experience.
- High School Diploma.
- Proven ability to process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime during peak demand periods and monthly closing cycles.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- College degree.
- Experience with leading ERP systems, with specific experience in a widely used financial ERP system highly preferred.
- Background in the consumer products industry.
- Experience with document imaging systems.
