Job Summary

Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Summer Analysts work on public and private debt, equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory for a period of 10 weeks. Analysts enhance their financial analysis skills, understand capital markets, and contribute to high‑impact projects from research to presentations and due diligence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives.
  • Perform valuation methodologies, including comparative company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Provide meaningful input for equity offerings, valuations, private placements, and M&A advisories.
  • Research, analyze, present, and document drafting elements of developing transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior bankers to craft client presentation strategies and create unique materials.
  • Analyze current industry events and assess their impact on clients and deals.
  • Maintain group databases for research and analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requiring independent judgment on business‑significant matters.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of investment banking and the securities industry.
  • Tax, accounting, and financial markets knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Analytical ability to assess market events.
  • Problem‑solving and solution‑design skills.
  • Independent thinking and idea development.
  • Technical proficiency with tools and systems for reports, communications, and presentations.
Qualifications
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.
  • Equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by HR (if applicable).
