Pride Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our team on a 13-week contract assignment in Saint Petersburg, FL
.
The ideal candidate will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic results.
Base pay range$50.00/hr - $55.00/hr
PositionPay: $2000 Weekly Gross
Shift & Schedule- Shift: Day 12 (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Shift Mix: (2) 8-hour shifts + (2) 12-hour shifts
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist with pediatric experience to join our care team. The technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic sonographic imaging for radiologist interpretation, ensuring patient safety, accurate data management, and efficient workflow. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate care to pediatric patients.
Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Obtain accurate sonographic images for radiologist review and interpretation
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during all imaging procedures, including pediatric care
- Verify and reconcile physician orders prior to exams
- Maintain accurate documentation and data management within imaging systems
- Assist with patient transport as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of imaging studies and result tracking
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of ultrasound equipment and exam rooms
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
- Follow all regulatory, safety, and infection-control standards
- Proficiency in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, including pediatric studies
- Strong understanding of sonographic anatomy and pathology
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner, especially with children and families
- Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in image acquisition
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) – required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through AHA (American Heart Association) – required
- Pediatric experience is required
