Summary: The Surgical Technician II performs technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision, following clinical standards. Requirements include High School or Equivalent, completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program, and 1 year surgical technician experience, or military/hospital training with 5 years acute care experience.
Required Skills: Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup.
Preferred: NBSTSA or NCCT certification, CST (Surgical Tech).
Minimum Qualifications: 1 year or 5 years of experience as per the reference summary.
Credentials: BLS (Basic Life Support); CST preferred.
