General Summary- Deliver patient care to a variety of patients (fast track, med/surg and critical care)
- Perform quality splinting, dressing applications, and wound care
- Performance of EKG’s/cardiac monitoring with recognition of basic arrhythmias
- Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
- IV insertion after successful completion of training and competency
- Assist in procedure set-up (i.e., I&D, suture, vaginal exam, lumbar puncture, chest tube, etc.)
- Perform accurate triages and discharges of patients of all ages
- Turn over rooms per protocol (based on patient diagnosis)
- Communicate positively with all team members and patients
- Professionally and reasonably delegate to team members (front staff and radiology)
- Work independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Accurately input patient discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer software
- Successfully participate in proficiency testing as directed
- Successfully complete drug screening collection class
- Complete routine checklists (daily, monthly, etc.) as assigned
- Utilize organization‑specific software to reference patient records and protocols
- Follow the information security policy & management system, contributing to its effectiveness & reporting on its performance
- High School Diploma with one year of previous related experience (Paramedic, EMT, ER Technician) strongly preferred
- BLS certified required
- Ability to work during the week from 9am‑7pm; weekend days from 9am‑4pm
- Paramedic or EMT experience strongly preferred
- Successfully pass a background and drug test
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patients and employees and help support a culture of passion and enthusiasm
