Ops Registered Nurse

Job Overview

Department of Health – OPS Registered Nurse (Requisition No: 865920). The position is located in Pinellas County and covers all five health department clinic sites, primarily in Immunization, Family Planning, STD and primary care clinics.

• Provide direct client services including immunization, medication administration, pregnancy and tuberculosis testing, and other nursing services.
Educate clients on disease prevention, maternal and child health, nutrition, safety, and anticipatory guidance.

• Prioritize responsibilities effectively.

• Valid Florida Driver’s License (or obtain within 30 days).
• Current active Florida nursing license or a multistate license compliant with the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Private transportation and willingness to travel and provide coverage at all clinic sites.

• At least one year as a Registered Nurse.
• At least one year in a public health setting.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
