Accelerate your culinary career by leading banquet operations, collaborating with the culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate daily with the Banquet Executive Chef and banquet manager for planning, staffing, and internal procedures.
  • Direct, correct, and supervise the presentation and portioning of food according to standards.
  • Lead menu development, manage inventory, and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas.
  • Train, supervise, develop, discipline, and counsel staff in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Complete daily food requisitions and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all relevant health regulations.
  • Schedule staff, conduct daily walk‑throughs of storage areas, and manage labor and food costs.
  • Assist in performance appraisals and attend required meetings such as Banquet Event Order and Banquet Operations meetings.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors to support banquet operations.
Qualifications
  • College degree or certification in culinary/hospitality preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years kitchen management experience in both a la carte and banquet operations.
  • Minimum 5 years cooking experience.
  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Proficient in English – reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
  • Ability to understand and achieve financial goals.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when business requires.
  • Meet minimum age requirement as per jurisdiction.
