Senior IT Project Manager | Finance Technology
This position follows our hybrid work model. We expect the selected candidate to be in the office 2-3 days a week at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.
We are seeking a Project Management / Finance Technology Professional with Finance ERP and EPM, and experience managing large development projects to support Financial and Regulatory initiatives. Experience in managing transformational initiatives, including moving current on-premise applications to SaaS solutions, is also desirable. The candidate will partner effectively with business SMEs, project stakeholders, implementation partners, and technology support teams. They will skillfully assess vendors and solutions to meet finance business needs, manage complex projects and backlogs, coordinate product releases, and influence strategic direction.

- Assists in developing and maintaining strategic technology roadmaps.
- Prepares for technology/architectural assessment of new solutions.
- Works with procurement on requirements and evaluation of new vendors and/or solutions.
- Manages project resources, partnering with business SMEs and project stakeholders, implementation partners, and technology support teams.
- Conducts preliminary investigations for all project requests by reviewing requirements and specifications to ensure alignment with organizational priorities, business objectives, and efficient resource usage without compromising value or quality.
- Provides a proactive interface between project stakeholders and senior management to ensure complete and accurate definitions of business requirements and delivery of business applications.
- Develops, prepares, presents, and maintains project plans, including staffing requirements, cost estimates, detailed budgets, work breakdown structures, and schedules. Monitors project progress and maintains documentation and reports for impacted consumers.
- Performs project risk assessments, identifying key risk factors, providing mitigation strategies, and assigning contingency action plans to both schedules and budgets.
- Manages projects and teams using established methodologies, change control templates and processes; manages time and records activities using scheduling tools; monitors budgets; coordinates resource acquisition and utilization; maintains precise documentation/artifacts required by PMO and internal audit; serves as a liaison with internal customers and external suppliers; and communicates regularly with project stakeholders.
- Manages and reports on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; sets performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and holds individuals accountable for achieving them; takes corrective action where necessary to ensure achievement of team or personal objectives.
- Delivers systems on appropriate platforms in compliance with established technology standards, including monitoring testing, executing quality assurance checks, and ensuring IT acceptance criteria are met prior to implementation.
- Manages all aspects of the project budget, including creating and maintaining resource allocations and actively tracking costs to the approved budget.
- Ensures that risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints are managed appropriately at the project level. Where risks or issues threaten delivery, develops and agrees on recovery plans.
- Clarifies roles and responsibilities within the project team and ensures project compliance with the organization’s wider program and/or portfolio management decision‑making structures and processes.
- Leads large project teams (or multiple small- to medium‑sized teams); defines the project vision, communicates the necessary outcomes, and provides guidance to achieve these outcomes; coordinates team actions across project activities; coordinates the flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed; and builds the capability of the team through training, coaching, and mentoring.
