Engineering Manager - Cloud-Native Azure Platform & Data Engineering Leader (Wealth Tech)

Founded nearly 15 years ago, we are a technology-enabled wealth management platform that empowers independent financial advisory firms to better serve high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients through an integrated suite of software, data, and business services.
- Lead, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team across software, data, and cloud, driving SDLC quality, predictability, and velocity aligned to the product roadmap.
- Provide hands‑on technical leadership in architecting and implementing cloud‑native solutions on Azure (.NET, App Services/Container Apps, Functions, Data Factory/Databricks) that meet performance, reliability, security, and cost targets.
- Define and monitor engineering and team health metrics (throughput, cycle time, escaped defects, change fail rate) while partnering with Product to translate business outcomes into measurable engineering objectives.
- Develop and maintain reference architectures and technical specifications, championing SOLID, event‑driven, and microservices patterns and communicating progress, risks, and dependencies to executives and stakeholders.
- 7+ years in software/data engineering with at least 3 years directly leading engineering teams as a strategic and hands‑on leader; bachelor’s in a related field preferred;
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑900) a plus. - Deep, practical experience with Azure (App Services/Container Apps, Functions, Storage, Data Factory/Databricks), M365, Entra /Azure AD, and Dataverse schema design, including building and optimizing production systems.
- Expertise in CI/CD (Azure Dev Ops/Git Hub), automated testing, and observability (Azure Monitor/App Insights), combined with strong SOC 2 Type 2, secure coding, and access management knowledge.
- Exceptional executive‑ready communication skills with a track record of coaching engineers, enforcing engineering standards, and ideally experience in Wealth Management/Wealth Tech domains.
