The Senior Dev Ops Engineer manages the Dev Ops process for Valpak Clipp working to improve collaboration between development and operations teams. The primary responsibility is to design and implement Dev Ops strategies and ensures that software is delivered efficiently. Works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably.

The Senior Dev Ops Engineer will have a background in development, operations, and full-stack implementations.

• Build and maintain infrastructure systems that support the timely delivery of high-quality changes to production, enabling self-serve reversions by SLO owners and aiding in root cause analysis for change failures.
• Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure.
• Able to coach and influence others to up-level the craft of Dev Ops.
• Own observability, monitoring, and alerting.
• Identify, investigate, and aid in the remediation of risks to security.
• Monitor, identify, and support the delivery of opportunities for performance and cost optimization.
• Provide guidance on policies and procedures to support a high level of availability.
• Manage and enhance cloud infrastructures.
• Automate software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, then utilize them to enhance your software infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or software engineering. Master’s degree a plus.
• 5+ years of Dev Ops/SRE experience on large-scale consumer-facing cloud-hosted e‑commerce properties.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, demonstrated by driving successful large‑scale infrastructure projects spanning multiple teams.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS ECS, Terraform, Docker, WAFs, Data Dog, and AWS IAM.
• Excellent proficiency with the command line and GNU/Linux.
• High level of familiarity with security and networking best practices.
• Data‑driven experience planning, delivering, and validating improvements to scalability, costs, and performance optimizations.
