Job Description Summary
Raymond James is seeking a Product Manager for our Platform Engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, driving platform adoption, and building scalable solutions that empower engineering teams. As a Product Manager on our Platform Engineering team, you will help define and communicate a clear product vision for platforms and self‑service tools that align with organizational goals.
You will work closely with engineering, security, and developer experience teams to remove infrastructure complexity, enable security guardrails, and accelerate development velocity. If you are an experienced product manager with background in infrastructure platforms or an engineer who understands developer pain points and wants to transition into product management, this could be the role for you.
Hybrid Workstyle Policy – Expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10‑12 days a month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Define and communicate the product vision in alignment with the enterprise technology strategy.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap based on user feedback, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
- Advocate for developer needs and ensure platform solutions are intuitive, scalable, and secure.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to gather requirements and align on priorities.
- Engage with internal development teams to understand pain points and drive adoption of platform capabilities.
- Facilitate cross‑functional discussions to ensure alignment across teams and initiatives.
- Translate product strategy into actionable work for engineering teams.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and inform future iterations.
- Prioritize features and enhancements based on impact, effort, and strategic value.
- Work with security and compliance teams to ensure platform tools incorporate security best practices and compliance requirements by design.
- 5+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education, experience, and training.
- Experience in a product management, business analyst, or information technology role.
- Experience in Dev Ops processes with an understanding of automated builds and deployments of code/cloud‑based processes.
- Experience in Platform Engineering preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders and initiatives simultaneously.
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with a passion for helping customers succeed.
Bachelor’s:
Computer and Information Science (Required). High School (HS) (Required).
