It Support Technician

• Strong knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware
• Very strong hands-on experience with hardware and software
• Good knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 7, and Microsoft Office

• Application and software installation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of or exposure to ticketing tools such as Service Now
• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Working knowledge of supporting computer peripherals such as printers and scanners

• Provides second-line investigation and diagnosis
• Resolves and closes incidents and service requests in accordance with help desk procedures and allocated
• timelines
• Escalates unresolved incidents and service requests within agreed timescales
• Logs relevant incident and service request details in accordance with process
• Communicates with users regarding incident progress
• Ensures tickets are updated until issues are resolved
• Complies with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and IT policies
• Liaises with users, IT support groups, and third-party providers when necessary
• Performs staging of PCs
• Performs IMAC (Install, Move, Add, and Change) activities for end-user hardware, including laptops, desktops,
• mobile devices, printers, desk phones, and meeting-room devices
• Conducts hardware and software maintenance and support
• Troubleshoots and resolves PC incidents and VIP requests
• Manages centralized hardware and spare-parts stock, inventory, and surplus equipment
• Provides break-fix services to nearby small sites, using shipping options such as device exchange or loaner PCs
• Provides asset disposal services
• Coordinates with hardware vendors for break-fix services
• Images and provisions devices, and sets up and builds workstations
  
  Updates the AMDB with hardware and software information
• Manages logistics for PCs and other devices

Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000 a year
