The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with the leadership capability, entrepreneurial mindset, and operational discipline to eventually become the General Manager of this new division. The Senior Project Manager will lead all construction operations in Tampa/St. Pete‑managing projects, building relationships, and setting the foundation for long‑term regional success. For the right candidate, this position offers a pathway to market leadership and profit‑sharing potential following demonstrated tenure and results.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Serve as the primary client liaison
    , ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
  • Drive Raving Fan initiatives
    , creating an exceptional homeowner experience.
  • Manage expectations, document key decisions, and proactively resolve concerns.

Project Execution & Financial Control

  • Maintain and update the Gantt schedule weekly
    , identifying risks and ensuring on‑time completion.
  • Control project financials by tracking budgets, issuing Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and Change Orders
    , and ensuring milestone billings are met.
  • Manage cost forecasting and ensure financial transparency.

Construction & Trade Partner Coordination

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Trade Partners to uphold Nautilus Homes' high construction standards.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings, OAC meetings, and job site coordination to maintain efficiency.
  • Oversee submittal reviews, RFIs, and compliance with safety standards

Leadership & Field Support

  • Train and mentor Superintendents
    , aligning them with project goals.
  • Conduct weekly site visits to enforce quality control and ensure alignment with Nautilus Homes' standards.
  • Provide strategic direction to field teams, ensuring seamless project execution.

Pre‑Construction & Administrative Excellence

  • Estimating to develop accurate budgets and manage job buyout.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable
    , ensuring accurate vendor payments and cost allocations.
  • Streamline project documentation and compliance processes.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in high‑end or luxury custom home construction, with at least 5 years in project leadership
    .
  • Strong ability to forecast budgets, track costs, and maintain transparent communication with leadership and clients.
  • Proficiency in Procore (certification preferred) and construction management software.
  • Efficient in Microsoft Project.
  • Skilled at working with architects, engineers, designers, and homeowners.
  • Committed to delivering top‑tier craftsmanship with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Deep working knowledge of Florida building codes, permitting, and regional construction practices.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and disciplined‑able to balance autonomy with alignment to company systems.
  • Clean driving record, background check, and adherence to a pre‑employment compliance check.
  • Represent Nautilus Homes' brand and values in every client and community interaction.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Tampa Bay region.
