Manufacturing Technology I – 2nd Shift (Plasma‑Therm)
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (2nd shift). Training will begin on the 1st shift (7 AM – 3:30 PM) for the first 4–6 weeks.
SummaryThe role facilitates the set‑up, calibration, testing, and breakdown of plasma processing equipment, and records all results in accordance with company procedures.
Responsibilities- Facilitate equipment installation, applying water, electrical power and leveling machinery.
- Position and assemble complex electro‑mechanical parts and assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and standard procedures.
- Assemble parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners with hand tools.
- Perform mechanical alignments and calibrations to meet ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure) and other quality standards.
- Conduct leak checks on vacuum and mechanical assemblies using leak detection systems.
- Debug and test equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and vacuum systems; collect, report, and record test data.
- Operate impedance meters and other specialty electronic test equipment.
- Prepare systems for shipment, including cleaning, breakdown of machinery, preparation of miscellaneous lists, and interfacing with shipping.
- Maintain Class 10,000 and 1,000 clean‑room requirements.
- Adhere to the applicable safety, quality, and environmental processes of Plasma‑Therm.
- Associate’s degree from a two‑year college, technical school or military education, or equivalent experience.
- 1‑3 years of directly related technician experience.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical procedures and related material.
- Read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Follow written and verbal directions to meet quality standards.
- Apply basic mathematical skills to solve technical problems.
- Proficient in use of crimpers, torque wrenches, vacuum leak detectors, soldering irons, and other assembly hand tools.
- Working knowledge of Windows Office.
- Typical manufacturing clean‑room facility and supporting areas such as stockroom, machine shop, and laboratory.
- Routine requirements to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, touch, see and hear; may lift or move up to 50 lb.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and possible contact with toxic or caustic chemicals; must wear safety equipment and follow safety instructions.
