Position OverviewAs a Glazier with Countryside, you will perform cutting, assembling, fitting, and attaching metal-framed glass enclosures for existing or new structures. The ideal candidate must have experience in commercial glass, glazing, storefront, curtain wall, and door hardware industry.
Key Responsibilities- Drive trucks to delivery and installation sites, ensuring safe transport of glass, mirrors, and equipment.
- Unload and arrange glass, mirrors, tools, and materials using suction cups or cranes.
- Fabricate and install metal sashes, moldings, and frames for glass installation using aluminum or steel framing.
- Install pre-assembled metal frames for windows and doors, fitting glass panels with hand tools.
- Measure and mark glass and mirror dimensions, ensuring proper fit for installation.
- Cut, fit, and install glass and substitutes in building interiors and exteriors.
- Secure mirrors in place with mastic cement, putty, bolts, or screws.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and installation procedures for accurate project execution.
- Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and stooping while handling materials.
- Operate forklifts or mechanized equipment for material transport.
- Apply mathematical and technical skills to solve problems and meet project specifications.
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in glazing and commercial glass projects.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 80 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record with no restrictions.
- Positive, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team while managing time efficiently.
