Lead Cloud Data Engineer (AWS) – Financial Risk Transformation

We’re modernizing our risk data platform to deliver trusted insights for regulatory reporting and enterprise risk management. As a Lead Cloud Data Engineer, you’ll architect and deliver AWS-native pipelines aligned to the Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold).

Hybrid – expected to be in a Raymond James office location a minimum of 10‑12 days a month. This role is not eligible for Work Visa sponsorship.

• Build batch & streaming pipelines using Glue, Glue Streaming, Lambda, S3, Athena, Iceberg
• Enable CDC ingestion with Kafka topics and JDBC connectors
• Optimize Iceberg tables and Athena queries for performance
• Drive CI/CD automation with Azure Dev Ops
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Governance teams
• Apply domain expertise in Market Risk and XVA processing to ensure accurate and timely risk calculations
• Work with relational databases like Oracle and MSSQL for upstream and downstream integration
• Nice‑to‑have:
  Experience with AWS Sage Maker, Bedrock, and Redshift for advanced analytics and AI‑driven insights

• Bachelor’s in Computer and Information Science
• Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering
• Bachelor’s in Data Science
