MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. is to alleviate pain and suffering, in a spirit of justice and charity, through person-to-person involvement.
SUMMARY: The Truck Driver-Food Center operates and maintains the Food Center vehicle that picks up food and supplies from vendors and/or donors, serving as an "ambassador of goodwill" in the vehicle that is a "moving billboard" for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. - Make appointed rounds to pick up food and supplies as ordered by the Executive Chef.
- Help unload food and supplies from the vehicle for transfer to freezers and pantries.
- Log miles traveled.
- Notify the Executive Chef of vehicle service needs.
- Schedule vehicle maintenance.
- Complies with the Agency’s Transportation Safety Plan.
- Lift at least 40 lbs.
- Assist in calculation of donated items.
Other Responsibilities
- Complies with all applicable training requirements.
- Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures.
- Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.
- Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team.
- Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. Mission.

- Able to speak, write and understand English.
- Possess basic computer skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Pinellas county, St. Petersburg area; driving record must be free from violations; knowledge of road and safety regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: This position requires at least a high school diploma or GED. A valid Driver’s License and an excellent driving record for at least three years prior to employment. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
