Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant - Salalah, Oman

We are hiring a Junior Accountant to join our team in Salalah, Oman. In this role, you will be responsible for handling various accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and methods, and experience with financial software and tools.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments/receipts
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
• Process payroll for employees
• Prepare tax returns and assist with tax audits
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits
• Identify potential areas for cost savings or efficiency improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus)
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or related field (experience in the hospitality industry is preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and methods
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. Quick Books) and MS Office applications
• Excellent organization skills with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
