We are currently seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team at the Salalah Public Library As a Librarian you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to library patrons maintaining the library collection and facilitating library programs and events
Responsibilities- Assist patrons with locating materials and provide reference services
- Process new materials and maintain accurate records of the librarys collection
- Plan and execute engaging library programs and events for all ages
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the library
- Enforce library policies and handle any patron complaints or concerns
- Keep up-to-date with current library trends technologies and resources
- Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Fluent in English required and Arabic preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience working in a library setting is an asset but not required
This is a part-time position with 20 hours per week The exact schedule will be determined upon hiring but may include some evenings and weekends
CompensationThe salary for this position is 1700$ per month
