Executive Recruitment Consultant – Supply Chain & Commercial Solutions

A leading manufacturing organization is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing activities and ensure timely delivery of goods and services that support operational excellence. This role is critical to maintaining cost efficiency, supplier compliance, and smooth procurement processes in a dynamic environment. Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Procurement & Purchasing Execution
  • Review requisitions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Create and manage purchase orders for a variety of categories including utilities, services, and capital expenditures.
  • Obtain competitive bids and quotes in accordance with procurement guidelines.
  • Monitor invoice status and resolve discrepancies to maintain timely payments.
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements, coding standards, and procurement strategies.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value-added agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to secure goods and services promptly.
  • Direct vendor setup, changes, and extensions through appropriate channels.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Maintain adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards across all procurement activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement data and reporting requests.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required;
    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain preferred.
  • 3-5 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems; advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% as needed.
