Job Description:

The Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care is excited to announce a permanent opening for a Part-Time Background Support Specialist (Office Specialist
2). Join our team and make a difference in helping protect Oregon children and families by providing equitable and timely support in the Background Check Unit.

This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week in the office at our headquarters in Salem. The hours will be Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm with some room for flexibility to be discussed during the hiring process.

Please note, the amount listed at the top of the posting is the full-time rate, the part time monthly rate for this position is between: $1,714.50 - $2,311/month

What you will do:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide a range of services in support of the Central Background Registry (C ). This position serves as an Office Specialist in the Background Unit in order to assist in processing the completion of criminal history and child protective service checks as a prerequisite for child care licensing processes. This position ensures that background check processes are carried out in conjunction with DELC equity policies and practices.
